Town of Kas, Turkey
Kas established itself as a "hippie" hangout and as an ideal stopping point for yachts and gulets. The town met demand by transforming itself from a small fishing village tucked among lofty cliffs into a resort town.
The noted resort in Turkey’s Mediterranean region still retains a certain small-town charm with narrow cobblestone streets, incredible coastal views, and some of the loveliest and creative boutiques the region has to offer. The town is built around the sparse ruins of ancient Antiphellos, which left behind a few scattered rock tombs, a Hellenic theater, and an unanticipated monumental sarcophagus featuring four lions' heads at the upper end of one of Kas' narrow shopping streets.
